The fact is we have been led into a mine field of a situation instead of being directed around the mine field. We were deliberately led directly into a mine field. We were all blind folded eyes wide shut and led into Iraq code name war on terror. When you find out the original reason for taking up arms has been eliminated and you continue on your path as if you still have a cause, we are now operating with our eyes wide shut.
Yeah the democratic congress has got to be really frustrated. They can’t seem to muster up any umph/courage to take on those who misled us. But they are not to be blamed. There are checks and balances and that is a good thing. Maybe not the thing that is needed at this time but nevertheless it is by design and effective. While the House of Representatives have a clear majority of democrats in their chamber anything they present will pass. But anything they pass has to go through the Senate and this is the clincher. To pass anything in this chamber requires a 2/3 vote. Two thirds of the senate is not democratic. So we face deadlock in the Senate.
This does not put our friends across the aisle in a good light. These are they who willingly follow a fraud policy with their eyes wide shut. They willingly follow believing with all their hearts that there will be victorious events ahead. Their eyes are wide shut because they don’t see it is already a loss. It is a loss for our government, it is a loss for our country and the people within.
This is the loss: to prove our strength to prove our power we lost our principle. A true democratic process considers due process. It considers all the ways to settle a conflict peacefully before it moves to use force and inflict harm. This is a fundamental principle that this country was founded. And this principle has been lost. It has been lost in the drive of insatiable greed that is the pied piper leading our officials to do things that are contrary to our principle.
So the democrats they are not to be blamed. But they are not to be exonerated either. At the time of September 11 2001 when we started down this slippery slope to where we are today, if one representative had sense enough to vote against going into any other country except Afghanistan then I cannot accept the bad intelligence excuse. First off due process should have kicked in to determine who exactly were the perpetrators that carried out the planning and they should have been hunted down like it was no tomorrow. It should have been a meticulous and precise investigation because this country deserves nothing less. But oh yeah congress was full with our friends from across the aisle and their eyes were wide shut.
It does not exonerate the democrats because the congress was full with our friends from across the aisle, no not at all. There eyes were wide shut too. A vote for a war in Iraq was a vote against principle and what America stood for. At the height of emotion all turned their backs on our principles and all eyes became wide shut.
So where do we stand today? What principles. Has anyone seen our principles? Oh they have gone out the door and it is a struggle to get them to return, the struggle that we see in congress. While our congress is struggling, moving with their eyes wide shut, the rest of the world is passing us by, going on about their daily routine which one wonders what that daily routine might be seeing they have no one to look up to anymore. Could the rest of the world be facing a power vacuum like the one in Iraq and they see something what we cannot or know something we really don’t know?
